Privacy Policy
Last updated: this policy is a launch draft — see the note at the end.
What we collect
On the Free plan, cardgrip collects nothing. Your groups and cards are stored only in your device's local storage and are never sent to our servers. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes them permanently — we cannot recover them, because we never had them.
If you upgrade to Pro, we store the account you create (an email address and a securely hashed password) and the card groups and cards you save to it, so they can sync across your devices and be shared with people you invite. This data is stored with our database provider, Neon, and is never sold or used for advertising.
Payments
Subscription payments are handled by Apple, Google, or our payments platform, RevenueCat — never processed or stored by us directly. We receive confirmation that a payment was made and its plan and renewal date, but never your full card number or bank details.
Sharing a group
On Pro, inviting someone to a group shares the cards in that group with them, and nothing else. You can remove someone from a group at any time, which stops their access immediately.
Cookies and analytics
The marketing website may use a small number of cookies for essential functionality and, if you consent, for anonymous usage analytics. See our Cookie Policy for details. The app itself does not use advertising trackers.
Your rights
You can export or delete your Pro account and everything in it at any time from within the app. If you need help with this, contact us using the details below.
Contact
Questions about this policy can be sent through our contact form.
Note: this is boilerplate written for launch speed, not a substitute for legal advice. Have it reviewed — and fill in the effective date, company name and jurisdiction — before submitting to the App Store or Play Store.
